The Motorola DEXT Does Android Right
July 14, 2010 Categories: Android
Motorola have had a hard time in the mobile phone industry the last couple of years, and the Motorola DEXT could be their saviour. This will be the first Google Android based mobile phone out of Motorola and so far it ticks all of the boxes.
The high specifications will have some drooling,a full hardware keyboard, 5 megapixel camera and integrated wireless will make this the most powerful andorid phone on the market. I envision the Motorola DEXT sim free will take over your life and become much more than just a mobile phone.
The MOTOBLUR individual interface is what really helps the DEXT stand out though. This will take all of your channels of communication such as Twitter, Facebook, SMS and E-mail and place them all in one place for your convenience.
It is beautiful to see how the Motorola DEXT Sim Free handles all communications in the same manner. If someone invites you to an event on facebook, sends you a swift text or gives you a call this is all easily viewable from one screen. Its interesting to see that the DEXT treats all favours of communication the same.
A swift flick through the phonebook and your friends social network updates and contact information is easily viewable. The really clever part of the phonebook is how it monitors your friends social networking profiles and gathers further information about them including birthdays and pictures.
All of this is viewed on the massive 3.1inch screen, which is amusing to use the press photos and videos do not do the screen calibre justice, you will have to see it for yourself.
Similar to the iPhone, the Motorola DEXT Sim Free has access to the Android app store making new applications and functionality just a click away.
